This is a beautiful all
original antique dresser box. Round ornate
filigreed metal case rests on three feet.
Black enameled metal lid has a beautiful domed
celluloid insert that features a pretty
European lady. Lift the lid, inside is a divided heavy clear glass insert for storing jewelry, trinkets, mementos. It measures 7" x 2-3/4" (not including the ornate tabs on the lid) Very nice condition, lite signs of age. Displays nicely. Produced by the Progress Novelty Casting Works, circa 1900. |

This is a wonderful vintage Max Factor Sophisti-cat with perfume. It comes from an estate and does not appear to have ever been opened. Black velveteen/flocked cat with pink rhinestone eyes, white maribou feather tail and faux white pearl necklace. Base is marked on the side " Max Factor, Golden Woods Sophisti-Cat Perfume, 1/8 Fl. Oz. Blended in U.S.A. Plastic dome has yellowed some with age. It has a few scuffs from storage. Cord hanger intact on the top. Perfume looks full still. I did not open this up as it appears to still be sealed? bottom does not want to turn or slide. 6" tall. Nice vintage addition to a collection. | |||

FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT GEOMETRIC DESIGNER COMPACT PURSE! Gorgeous vintage 1940's ladies necessaire compact. Case marked Elginite, EAM. Reminisent of design work by Frank Lloyd Wright with it's pink enameled, inset geometric design on the front, and wavy engine turned back. Half moon shape with engraved bar and link carry chain. Compact is 3" by 1-5/8". Excellant condition. No dents, dings or scratches. Mirror is intact, with clear view still. No fogging or noticable wear to the silvering. All hinges and clasp are in excellant condition and case closes with a snap, and opens properly. No warping to the lid. There is a couple of flakes the the pink enamel, although the pattern hides this wear well. The exterior of the case is shiny and bright. The interior has a more matted finish. A wonderful compact to use or add to a collection. | SOLD

RARE 1939 GOLDEN GATE EXPOSITION
WORLDS FAIR COMPACT W/LIPSTICK Unique find in an vintage
ladies compact. In original box.
Premium offered to visitors of the 1939
International Golden Gate Exposition.
Comes in its original box. Compact has faux
wood front with gold colored medalian in the
center. Embossed Golden Gate Exposition,
1939, with building outlines. Hinged case at
the top, with chain, and attached lipstick
case. Orange enameled bottom, along with the
back of the compact. Compact inside is
excellant and has not been used. 2 white
silky pads unused also. The faux wood has
the name Martha in gold along the bottom
(done at the fair). There is very lite wear
to the orange enameling, and to the
metal of the case. No dents or dings.
Lipstick case is very nice, and has not been
used. Original lipstick inside. Outer box
has staining, and wear.

ANTIQUE SILVER
& BLUE GUILLOCHE NECESSAIRE
COMPACT Beautiful early 20th century ladies powder compact. Pink carnations floral spray on the blue enameled guilloche front. Stunning engravings around the edge and full back engine turning. Wrist chain alternating with engraved bars and rings. Very nice condition overall. 2-1/4" x 2" x 1/2". I can find no mrkings as to maker. Case appears to be silver or at least silver plate. It is a high quality compact. No dents or dings. Outer case metal is bright and shiny. Only wear noted is on the back and this has a spot in the center that is worn from laying over the years. Angled cut corner shaped mirror inside, oval step cameo lid with rouge insert. Other side has powder sifter that is turned with a small lever, and had the loose powder underneath. Rouge and powder is all empty. Clasp and hinges are intact and nice. Mirror has some wear to the outer edge, but is still clear enough to see reflection in. |

Vintage Evans Nickel Silver Ladies Wrist Purse Compact -Mirror-Coin Holder - 553. This is an old ladies compact coin holder. Circa. 1920's. Elegant art deco style. Produced by Evans. Rectangle with wrist chain, closier on the end. Engine turned case, beveled engraved sides with cartouche on the front and back. Inside the case holds nickels, dimes and has a spring loaded clip for paper bills. Framed mirror thats a lid to the powder compartment underneath. Case is marked "Evans Nickel Silver". Case measures 3-1/8" x 2". Wrist chain is 5-1/2" long. The compact is complete and in good working condition. It does have some tarnish, no dents or dings. No monogram. Lite signs of age and use here and there. The mirror has some wear to its edges. The corner of the frame and the backing piece have separated some. Still works and closes fine. Frame is made so that the mirror can be removed (slides out the side of the frame). A bit of polishing and it would make a wonderful piece to use. | |

RARE 1940'S
MIAHATI LUCITE HAND CARVED COMPACT This lovely old compact is quite a hard one to find. It was produced in the 1940's, by a company that was only in business for short period, and mainly produced perfume. This Miahati loose powder compact is made of clear lucite, and has a hand carved flower inset in the lid. Aqua colored background. 3-1/2" square, with angled corners. Signed case. Marked box. No. 21. Pat. Pending. In very nice used condition. In original box, complete with puff and screen. The circular mirror has some wear to the silvering, ( could be replaced easily). No breaks or cracks to the lucite. Lite wear to the box. Hinges intact, and case closes properly and securely. |

Clasp and hinges are excellant. Mirror has very lite fogging from age, but is still clear enough to see reflection in. |

Pretty little art deco ladies compact. Engraved with red enameling, nude lady and design on the lid. Case signed inside Fiancee Bourjois. Pad inside is marked Princess Pat. Other pad is not marked. Partial moon shaped mirror inside lid. Compact is 1-1/2" across. Nice condition. Still has some of the powder inside. Mirror is not broken or cracked. Still pretty clear with only lite clouding. Silvering is good with no chips or cracks showing thru. Silver metal case is also in good condition. No dents or dings. Very lite toning to the metal. |
