Bottom corner square also has an embossed W with a line through it. Tile is in very good condition considering it age. There is some small chips, flakes to the edges and some crazing to the glaze all consistent with age. The painting is still intact and the coloring is still vibrant and prominent with no fading. antique christmas matchless wonder star

12 MATCHLESS WONDER STAR Antique 1930s CHRISTMAS Tree Light Bulbs PAT PEND w/Box This is a set of 12 antique Christmas lights as found in an estate. There is a variety inside the box and two extra, but this is just how they were found. There is seven Matchless Stars, four Krystal Stars, and one Nippon. The Matchless Stars are marked "Matchless, Made in USA, Pat Pending". The Krystal Stars are marked "Patented in Japan, USA, Patent Pending". The single dark one is marked " Pat. Granted USA, 2031642 , Nippon". Cut glass, metal, various colors. Assuming at least a couple of them come with the box (my guess is four from the simularities between the illustrations on the box and the actual lamps). The box says " Kristal Star Lamps". 15 volt. colors assorted. "U.S.A. Patent Pending, Japan Pat. No 196650 and others". I have no way to test these, 15 volt? assuming as old as these are that they may not work still, but it looks like they could be took apart and the bulbs replaced in them if need be. I have to draw your attention to the black looking one. It is actually amethyst, I've never seen on quite like it. They all seem a little dusty and are in need of cleaning. They all appear to be in very nice condition with no chips, chiggers or cracks. The metal parts have toning. The glitter finish on the ones is a bit dusty. Each is complete. The box is complete with insert. The lid has two split corners a hole poked in the top. It has yellowed with age. The box measures 11" x 5" x 1-1/4". Largest lamps are are 2-1/2" across. The amethyst one is 1-3/4" across. The other ones are about 1-7/8" across. Please note  pictures do not show  two of the Matchless Stars, one is red and clear glass the other is green and red glass.  Don't miss out on these rare lamps, they are all great candidates for restoration.
